“Tell me what happened,” I say softly.

 

“I can’t.” His broken words are but a whisper echoed between the two of us.
“You can’t or you won’t?” I ask hesitantly.

Former Director of a major corporation, Victoria has spent most of her life inside of a book. When she wasn’t reading, she was busy scribbling down stories of her own.
